Teaching Literacy Through Language and Structure

I believe every literacy is a human right.  Each child can learn and every learner deserves access to Language for Life. Literacy unlocks potential, amplifies voices, and empowers individuals to bring their gifts forward.


At LearnLiteracy.com, my work is grounded in structured literacy, the Science of Reading, and an Orton-Gillingham–informed, linguistics-based approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. Instruction is explicit, systematic, cumulative, and responsive to how language works and how the brain learns.


Through teacher training, tutoring, advocacy, and professional learning, I support educators, families, and learners in building strong, transferable literacy skills. My mission is to advance effective, inclusive, and research-aligned literacy instruction so that all students—especially those with reading difficulties or dyslexia—can reach their full potential.
