Individual support is available for students with dyslexia, language-based learning disabilities, or for those needing extensive remediation.  Tutoring is done 1:1 in 60 minute sessions using 

OG and Structured Literacy strategies.  

The lessons are individually tailored to the learning needs of each student.  In the first meeting, a variety of informal assessments are done to determine the exact skill set of the student.  Based on this, lessons are developed for the particular needs of that student.  Many literacy skills are addressed during each hour, for example: connections between sound to print and print to sound; blending; word work; reading (words, phrases, sentences, connected text); spelling.
