
This 70-hour Structured Literacy training is aligned with the International Dyslexia Association’s (IDA) Knowledge and Practice Standards and prepares you to teach all aspects of reading and writing. The training emphasizes explicit, systematic, and cumulative instruction informed by linguistics, cognitive science, and education research, ensuring you understand not just what to teach, but why.
Trainees will learn to integrate all aspects of instruction to effectively support students with dyslexia, learning disabilities and those in need of extensive remediation in a 1:1 or small group setting.
After fulfilling all requirements, each participant will receive a certificate of completion for the training hours.
Trainees may continue their Structured Literacy learning by:
-Completing a Practicum for the Structured Literacy Interventionist for certification with the Center for Effective Reading Instruction.
